At Reedsfield Care, live-in care costs £1,250 or £1,350 a week, depending on who covers the carer's daily two-hour break, with a dedicated carer living in the family home. Weekday daytime home care is £29.50 per hour. Groceries and approved expenses are separate.
What's Included in the Weekly Cost
At Reedsfield Care the weekly fee covers personal care, meals, companionship, medication support and the other tasks in your assessed care plan, and we arrange replacement carers when needed. The live-in carer takes a two-hour break every day. If a family member covers that break, the fee is £1,250 a week. If Reedsfield provides the cover, it is £1,350 a week.
What the Household Provides
You provide a suitable private bedroom and reasonable use of the bathroom, kitchen, laundry facilities and utilities at no charge. The carer brings or buys their own food; there is no food allowance.
Nights
The live-in carer sleeps at night and can be woken for occasional assistance, as set out in the care plan. This is not waking-night care. If the carer is woken or has to get up more than three times in a night, we assess whether separate waking-night care or a staffed 24-hour rota is needed. That would be outside the weekly fee and agreed in writing before it starts.
